Myofascial Release:

Focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the trigger points. Localizing pain to a specific trigger point is very difficult and for that reason myofascial release is often used over a broad area of muscle and tissue rather than single points.

Trigger Points:

Highly irritable localised spot of tenderness in a muscle. Compression techniques and Deep stroking massage as well as stretch and release techniques are used to release the muscle.

Stretching:

Has benefits which include improved range of movement, increased power, diminished post-treatment soreness and reduced fatigue.

Strengthening:

Improved tolerance and stamina to exercise. Keeping muscles strong can relieve pain, improve function and prevent further injury.
